 MUA HOSPITAL APPEAL
Project goal: Deliver a self-contained, efficient and modern operating theatre.

Mua Catholic Hospital serves a population base of 130 000 people. A hospital of similar size in the developed world would have at least 11 operating theatres. In Mua, there is only the 1.


TAPELA AIDS FIGHTERS -THE WOMEN OF MCHINJI

Project Goal:
To support and foster the Women

     
The group has taken on the responsibility to care for all orphans and people living with HIV and Aids in a seventeen village radius. They also provide education on nutrition, disease prevention and domestic violence through traditional song and theatre
.      


OBSTETRICS TRAINING
Project Goal: Assist the campaign against Maternal Mortality

Support by funding a working Doctor in Malawi to pursue training in Obstetrics.     The Maternal Mortality rate in Malawi is unacceptable and a direct cause to such a high rate is a lack of skilled health workers in all fields from doctors to mid wives.
 

We at the Charity have learnt over the years with our relationship with the hospital that adding education to those who are already there would be a major benefit.

BWAILA HOSPITAL

Project Goal: Supporting women through childbirth

Malawi has the worst maternal mortality of any non-conflict country in the world. The Rose Project's recently built (the new) Bwaila Hospital is a step in the right direction...



PATIMA AND FAMILY 

Project Goal: To support Patima and her Family

Patima lives in the Salima District of Central Malawi.
An area with a reported 33% of the population infected with HIV and Aids. Sadly she is apart of this statistic, and cares for eight children...


NDI MOYO - THE PLACE GIVING LIFE

Project Goal: To support by donation of supply and create awareness.
Ndi Moyo works to alleviate the suffering of those who are chronically and terminally ill, and by bringing care and dignity to those who need it most.




PROJECT EDUCATION
Project Goal: To provide education, to those without.

In a special collaboration between the charity and an anonymous donor, three siblings are now receiving a quality education.

A friend of the Charity has donated several different solar powered devices, that we have supplied to range of people. Including an midwife, a family, a CBO and more.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES
Project Goal: Ongoing provision of medical supplies

An ongoing function for Women of Malawi has been providing temporary relief to health posts, in terms of medical supplies, even before the Charity existed.

This process is upheld with one of our main objectives. To maintain a direct relationship to the people we assist and assure that all possible donations go directly to them.

ANAEMIA REDUCTION  PROGRAM
Project Goal: To reduce maternal mortality
In Ireland every time a woman dies during childbirth it makes the newspaper. According to the World Health Organization, for every time this happens in Ireland it will happen 1100 times in Malawi.

The objective of this project is to contribute to the quality of women’s health as they embark in childbirth to significantly reduce the maternal mortality and neo-natal death rates in Malawi.
